I am not a Republican. However, when I talk with my Republican friends, they have some sound rationale for their political views. What I have yet to ask them are their thoughts on the current crop prospects hoping to become the Republican Presidential Candidate.
I really need to ask.
In years past, I assumed theatrical but unrealistic candidates made outlandish pronouncements to extend their 15 minutes of fame. I also thought that perhaps those candidates made proclamations that were so over the top it made the less outrageous promises from more realistic candidates a little more palpable.
Given the extended publicity of Donald Trump's spectacle of a campaign, I've been force to wonder - is that the strategy? For a moment, let's overlook the fanatics who believe that Obama's health care policies signal the demise of our country and ask those who are sincere in their hopes for the healthy growth of our country (not the growth of big business) - is this current parade of sensational soundbite characters what we can expect from the GOP?
I'm busy working on my blog posts. Watch this space!
